Aaah! It's been forever since I've made a post!
A few days before Christmas my Dad and brother came to town and stayed with us for a week. The kids sure did love having them to wake up to every morning. My poor brother slept on the couch and was woken up by the babies bright and early every morning! I felt so bad, but I'm pretty sure he didn't mind.
Our Christmas was great.
It's definitely a lot more fun when you have kiddos to celebrate it with.
Jojo and Bellamy put out cookies and milk for Santa this year.
Jojo was so excited that he got up at 4 a.m. Christmas morning!
Luckily he fell back asleep on the couch till about 7 when Bellamy woke up.
After we opened presents the kids took a nap and then Joey's family came over for dinner.
We changed up the tradition of having turkey and/or ham and made chili and clam chowder in bread bowls.
It was so yummy and such comfort food.
Joey and I decided that that was our new Christmas tradition.
On New Years Eve the kiddos spent the night at my mom's, so that Joey and I could go to my brother-in-law and sister-in-law's house for a party.
It was a pot luck, so I made chicken flautas.
They were a hit!
{I'll post the recipe sometime soon}
My aunt and cousin flew in on New Year's Day and stayed with us for a couple of days.
Once again the babies totally loved having new faces to wake up to.
While they were here we did a little shopping at my favorite home decor store {Rod Works}.
I'll write a post about my goodies from there soon!
Our holidays were wonderful and filled with lots of family. My heart was full and happy and now I'm ready for 2014!
