Life kind of got busy for a second after I decided to be a vendor at a craft fair this past weekend.
The entire process was definitely a learning experience for me.
Here are just a few things that I took away from it all:
{Don't wait until the night before to get a big chunk of your stuff made.}
I was up till 3:45 the night before with a 6 am wake up call working on stuff.
NO. GOOD.
{Outdoor craft shows during Spring time in Las Vegas are a not the best idea.}
It got to be so windy that I ended up taking half of my stuff down and putting it away.
{Give myself more time for set up.}
I thought an hour to set up everything was going to be enough time.
I got there at 8, show started at 9, I didn't get done setting up until 9:30!
{Make friends with the vendors next to and near you.}
The amount of customers who showed up to the show was pathetic, so sitting there was a little agonizing at times.
Being able to talk with the vendors around me made the time go by much faster!
{It's ok if you don't make one single sale. It's ok.}
Yep...not one person bought anything.
Like I said before, the amount of people who showed up to the show was....
RIDICULOUS.
From 9-3 there was maybe... just maybe 40 people.
All in all it was the type of experience that only makes you stronger and more knowledgeable about what to do next time.
The Saturday before the craft show Joey and I took the kids to Container Park.
It was Joey's first time going!
I just love that place.
I love the vibe, the shops, the restaurants, and the music.
How cool would it be to one day have a shop there?!
{I'll keep dreaming.}
So, for now my focus is to:
*Enjoy every second with my two little lovies. They are just growing up so so fast right before my very eyes.
*Look forward to the next date night with Joey. We had one this weekend and it made my heart so happy. Our goal is to try and do one at least once a month if not twice!
* Work on creating new banners, garlands, stationary, and gift tags that I can add to my shop.
*Grow my little business.
*** Hope everyone has a great week!! ***
